The Vernon Parish School Board has provided parents with a survey asking for input on preferred methods of teaching in the event school are unable to return to the traditional model in August.

The options are:

Blended learning, where half the school would attend classes on Mondays and Wednesdays with the other half participating via Google Classroom. On Tuesday and Thursday, the groups would switch with Friday morning being used for at risk students to have face to face and in person support.

Virtual learning, where students spend all 5 days of classes on Google classroom.

Alternating weeks – one week at school, one week at home.

Parents are also asked to select their top 3 primary concerns for their students in the 2020-2021 school year.

The survey must be completed and returned to the School Board by July 2, 2020. It can be completed here: https://vpsb.formstack.com/forms/2021schoolyear
