The Leesville Police Department and the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshall have arrested Carrie Pennington and William Paddy following an arson investigation.  Pennington report her vehicle stolen out of her driveway on September 1, 2019.

Two days later the Vernon Parish Sheriff's office located the vehicle outside the city limits and reported that it had been burned. The joint investigation determined that Pennington and Paddy conspired to get rid of the vehicle and file a false report that it had been stolen.

The City of Leesville arrested Carrie Pennington and William Paddy charging them with Criminal Conspiracy and Filing a False Report. Bail was set at $8.500 each.

The Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshall is also charging them with Criminal Conspiracy and Arson with Intent to Defraud.

Online records show both have been released on bond.
