On March 27th, 2019, Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office deputies took a report of criminal sexual conduct involving juveniles that occurred in the Boyce, LA area.
Alexis Renea Blakely, 25, of the 1500 block of Lena Flatwoods Road in Lena, LA and Robert Michael Benjamin Boyd, 36 of the 9000 Block of La Highway 1, Lena LA were identified as suspects.
Through their investigation, including interviews of the victims at the Rapides Children’s Advocacy Center, detectives were able to establish sufficient probable cause supporting the original allegations.
Warrants were granted for Blakely’s arrest in reference to (6) Six Counts - Child Desertion. Blakely was taken into custody April 22 in reference to her warrants and booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center.
Later the same day, she was released after posting a $3,000 bond.
As part of the ongoing investigation, probable cause was established to support the original allegations levied against Boyd. Warrants were granted for Boyd’s arrest in reference to (4) Four Counts – Trafficking of Children For Sexual Purposes; Victim Under the Age of 13, (4) Four Counts – Molestation of a Juvenile; Victim Under the Age of 13, (4) Four Counts - Sexual Battery; Victim Under the Age of 13, (4) Four Counts - Obstruction of Justice, and (1) One Count - Indecent Behavior with Juveniles; Victim Under the Age of 13.
On June 4th, a search warrant was executed at Boyd’s residence resulting in items of evidence being collected and Boyd was taken into custody. He was later booked into the Rapides Parish Detention Center in reference to his respective arrest warrants.
Boyd currently remains at the detention center in lieu of posting a $380,000 bond. Detectives say their investigation is still ongoing and additional arrests are possible.
