The City of DeRidder announces that the old Kansas City Southern caboose in front of the Beauregard Museum in downtown #DeRidder will be transformed into an “escape room” for one night only.

“Escape From The Runaway Caboose” will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 30 during the Greater Beauregard Chamber of Commerce’s “Trick-or-Treat on Washington Street” event.

An “escape room” is a game where a team of players collaborate to find clues, solve puzzles and accomplish tasks in order to achieve a specific goal in a specific amount of time.

Each escape session will last around 15 minutes with a maximum of four people allowed at once from the same party (family members or friends).

The event will feature special props and clever clues, all centered around the theme of a mysterious train bound to Transylvania that only travels at dusk on All Hallow’s Eve.

Tickets are free, but will be limited so “passengers” should get in line early.
