It was announced this morning that Suddenlink has informed the City of DeRidder that they will not reopen the DeRidder Office at 1501 North Pine Street.
In an e-mail sent to the city last week, a company official wrote, “proactive e-mail notifications regarding the store closure are being made to frequent walk-in customers”.
Payments may be made through the mail, electronically or using a 3rd party payment location for a fee. The issuance and returning of equipment may be done through the mail.

Q: If there is no local store in my community, how can turn in equipment?
A: Suddenlink/Optimum offers a simple mail-in return program. Customers can visit Optimum.net or Suddenlink.com and easily print a prepaid shipping label and instructions on how to mail equipment through FedEx.
Q: I see your website that I could install my own services, but cannot go pick up the equipment I need to complete the “self installation” without a local office. How can I get company equipment?
A: Optimum can ship legacy Video, A1 Mini and HSD equipment to customer. However, Optimum cannot ship Altice One, UBEE or FTTH equipment as it requires professional installation.
Suddenlink customers currently require technician to assist with delivery of equipment and installation (fee applies).
Q: Where can I make a payment if local office is no longer open?
A: Customers can make a credit/debit card payment in our website or over the phone through our automated services. Customers can also mail a check or money order to our lockbox. For cash payments, customers can visit any of our 47,000 3rd party locations across the country.
Q: How long will it take for my payment to post if I make a cash payment through a 3rd party location?
A: Western Union payments post next day, except Friday payments. These will post on following Monday. CheckFreePay payments will post within 48 hrs.
Q: Will I be charged a fee for using an Alternative Payment Center to pay my bill?
A: Today, customers can make a cash payment at any of our 3rd party payment locations for a $1.50 - $2.00 fee depending on vendor/location.
