The Better Business Bureau of Southwest Louisiana, has stated there have been several scams relating to COVID-19.

Residents may receive a text or email from Netflix, Hulu, or other streaming services stating that due to social distancing, they’re offering free, premium service.

Residents may receive an email or phone call claiming eligibility for an emergency government grant.

Also, residents may receive a call from someone stating a member of your family is exhibiting signs of the coronavirus and is in the hospital, but they can’t be seen until a deposit is paid.

**All of these are scams and are designed to take your money.**

If you have fallen victim to one of these scams, call the Better Business Bureau at 337-478-6253 or local law enforcement.
