The reports from the Secretary of State's Office show that the first day of early voting for the gubernatorial runoff saw 89,623 people turn out to vote. That’s a 16% increase from the first day of early voting for the primary. While we don't have a by-parish breakdown for the primaries, the numbers for local parishes look promising.

Allen Parish shows a total of 244 votes on Saturday, 122 each when you look at reported gender with 103 Democrats, 111 Republicans and 30 listed as Other.

Beauregard Parish reported 783 total votes with 375 male, 407 female and 250 Democrats, 384 Republicans and 149 Other.

Sabine Parish listed 437 total votes with 226 male, 211 female; 122 Democrat, 231 Republicans and 84 Other.

Lastly, Vernon Parish reported 781 total, 385 male, 396 female, 242 Democrat, 381 Republican and 158 Other.
