Registration for candidates for the Presidential Primary scheduled for April 4, 2020, ended on Friday, January 10, 2020 with 19 total candidates completing the registration process.

Fourteen democrats are listed as registered on the Secretary of State's GeauxVote platform, and four Republican candidates have signed up to challenge President Trump for the GOP nomination.

The election on April 4, 2020 will be a closed party primary, which means voters may only vote in their Registered party of choice.

If you are not yet registered to vote, you have until March 4, 2020, for in-person or by mail registration and until March 14, 2020 using the GeauxVote app.

Early voting will run from March 21 – 28, 2020.
