City of Leesville

City of Leesville City Council met at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, 2021, in City Hall. All members were preset, Councilwoman Guess participated by phone.

Daffine Kennedy presented the monthly bills in the amount of $22,066.04.

Pay requests in the amount of $20,808.46 were approved.

An ordinance was introduced to rezone 10.22 acres within the city limits of Leesville from A-6 to A-8 and C-3 to build a 38 house subdivision called Briarwood Estates with commercial frontage. This project was reviewed by the Planning and Zoning Committee in their December 28, 2020, meeting and recommended to the City Council. Public hearing is scheduled for the regularly scheduled meeting at 3:00 p.m. on February 22, 2021.

Resolution 8 was passed for the Mayor and Council to accept the Certificate of Substantial Completion for the Leesville 2018 LCDBG Rehabilitation of Sewer Crossings Project No. A9-17017-DA.

City Administrator Patti Larney reminded guests and Council members that City Hall will be closed on Monday for President's Day. She also stated that the recent rash of boil advisories are not because someone is not doing their work, city employees are working to repair than as fast as they can.

The next meeting is scheduled for 3:00 Monday, February 22, 2021 in Leesville City Hall.
