30 year old Erin J. Harrison of Kinder, LA was booked into West Feliciana Parish on charges of Contraband, Taking to and From a Penal Institution, LA.

A body scanner at Louisiana State Penitentiary detected a foreign object inside of Harrison. When Department of Corrections officers questioned her, she chose to remove the object, which is believed to be 18 grams of synthetic marijuana, and turned it over to investigators who provided it to West Feliciana Parish Sheriff's Deputies.

The West Feliciana Sheriff's Office is having the State Police Crime Lab test the material.

Louisiana State Penitentiary investigators also searched Harrison's vehicle and found two bottles of tequila and wine.

The Department of Corrections warns visitors, they are subject to search when entering any state prison, and will be arrested if caught attempting to bring contraband onto the property.
