BG Patrick Frank held this weeks Facebook Live Town Hall yesterday afternoon. Col Ryan Roseberry and Col Jody Dugai were each in separate rooms exhibiting social distancing.

Gen. Frank stated that JRTC & Fort Polk are still at Health Protection Code C+, he has previously issued a public health emergency, General Order #1, instituted a curfew and moved the post to Mission Essential Personnel.

There is still a 50 mile radius from post that soldiers are allowed to travel – it was noted this falls just West of Alexandria.

DOD has issued guidance on the use of masks for all military personnel, DOD Employees and family members.

The 310 Mountain will travel to West Point to train cadets – at this point it is still being planned, there should be more guidance this week.

Rotations scheduled for April have been moved to next year, for May have been postponed and the rotation in June is still planned to continue.

Gen. Frank said that following his issuing a letter authorizing travel across the Texas Louisiana Border, those that needed to use it have not been challenged.

Col Roseberry shared that CORVIAS has reduced their maintenance footprint until May 1. They will still be available for emergencies, and they can drop off air filters.

He shared that Waste Connections on post may also be running a day or more behind as they deal with the COVID 19 issues.

Parents should watch both the Beauregard Parish and Vernon Parish School Board web pages for updated information.

CDC enrollment has decreased due to parents being at home. They are moving forward with curb side drop off and asked that parents be aware that the new method may take a few minutes longer.

Col Dugai announced that the Biofire is here, however the testing kits destined for Fort Polk have been rerouted to an area with higher need. There should be a replacement shipment here by April 16.

It was asked that only 1 person attend clinic appointments unless the patient is under 18.

The drive through testing clinic will reduce their times by 2 hour: Monday through Friday they will be open from 0900 to 1300 and on Saturday from 1000 to 1300. The

Life Share Blood drive scheduled for today was a huge success. All of the time slots have reservations, even for the 2nd bus. They will not be accepting walk up donations today.
