City of Leesville

The city of Leesville, LA reminds candidates in the upcoming election about the city's Code of Ordinances and how it applies to political signs.

The first requirement is a permit from the code enforcement officer. The application will authorize the placement of all signs pertaining to the candidate or political point of view and requires the dimensions of each sign and the type of materials used.

Signs may be placed at the initial qualifying date for a city, parish, state or federal election and must be removed 7 days following the election unless there is a runoff.

The fee for the permit is a refundable $1000. As long as you follow the provisions for temporary political signs, the money will be refunded.
