The City Council of the City of Leesville, LA, met at 3:00 Monday, May 11, 2020, with the meeting live streamed on Facebook. Councilmembers Ybarra and Shapkoff were absent.

A public hearing was held before the meeting to Adopt Ordinance 1 of 2020 related to the retirement of Police K9 Nigel and donating him to Officer Jim Lewis. This was adopted in the public hearing and approved in the council meeting.

Ordinance 2 of 2020 presented the 2019-2020 Budget Ammendment and FY 2020-2021 Budget Proposal. Public Hearing will be June 8, 2020.

Resolution 22 awarded a Class B Alcohol Permit to Fina Mini Serve LLC at 1401 5th Street in Leesville - Melissa Lynn Eaves is the owner.

Resolution 23 approved a bid award for the FY 2018 Rehabilitation of Sewer Crossing Project to Meyer and Associates.

City Administrator Patti Launey notes that May 25 is Memorial Day and there will be no City Council meeting. The next meeting will be held on June 8, 2020.

Mayor Allen ended the meeting asking for a picture of K9 Nigel to hang in City Hall with the other retired police officers.
