On Wednesday evening, May 20, 2020, at approximately 6:30 p.m., Natchtitoches Parish Sheriff's Office Special Task Impact Deputies stopped a 2006 Saturn passenger car on Bennett Loop for a traffic violation.

While the driver, identified as 48-year-old Rebecca Yvone Desadier, was attempting to exit her vehicle, deputies observed a plastic bag fall on the ground containing suspected methamphetamine. During a search of the vehicle, deputies observed a Pepsi can and while examining it determined Desadier attempted to hide methamphetamine in the can.

It was determined Desader's driver's license was suspended.

Rebecca Yvonne Desadier, 48, of Campti, was arrested and booked into the Natchitoches Parish Detention Center charged with Possession of CDS Schedule II Methamphetamine-2nd Offense, Criminal Obstruction of Justice and Criminal Mischief for alleging she had Covid-19 in an effort to avoid going to jail then stating that was not true, however, she was examined by EMS and found not to have any virus symptoms.

Desadier remains in Natchitoches Parish Detention Center awaiting bond.
