The Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office and Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries are investigating the drowning of a Bossier City man yesterday about 6:00 p.m. on the Toledo Bend Reservoir near the Sabine Parish- DeSoto Parish line.

56-year old Frankie Mouser died when a large wave capsized a small fishing boat, ejecting him into the water.

The boat was headed back to the Jolly Roger Marina when the winds increased.

Mouser was wearing a life jacket, but came out of it when he was thrown out of the boat. Patrick McCormick, who was fishing with Mouser, was also thrown into the water, but was able to recover Mouser's body and take him to shore before calling 911.

An autopsy is scheduled for Wednesday to determine the cause of death.
