KJAS had released information that a bone had been pulled out of Toledo Bend Lake caught up in a boat anchor. The Sabine Parish Sheriff's Office sent it off to be tested.

Today, the Sabine County Sheriff's Office reports that the tests on the bone have come back from the LSU FACES lab and it was determined this did not belong to a human, as had been speculated. Instead, it was a portion of a leg bone from a species of cattle and it had been submerged for quite a while.
