The Beauregard Parish School Board has is mailing a letter to parents that covers what is known at this time about the upcoming school year.

Following the Guidelines written by the the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH), the Resilient Louisiana Commission, and the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE), the Board is considering three types of classroom structure:

1. Traditional school with enhancements and online opportunities. This would utilize classrooms on campus as well as Google Classroom and Beauregard Virtual Program. This is the preferred option.

2. Social distacing/hybrid option. This version utlizies face to face options as well as online distancing. This would require a executive order from the Government.

3. Long Distance Learning. All students would be kept at home using Google Classroom and Beauregard Virtual Program. This option also required an executive order from the Governor.

Students will also be required to follow the safety protocols to reduce the spread of COVID.

Strong Start 2020: Guidelines and Resources for School Reopening is available on the LDOE website and includes a number of guidelines and best practices for districts including the following: Bus capacity and student group size, Student symptom monitoring, Face coverings and Food prep and meal service.
