The Beauregard Parish Police Jury met Tuesday, June 4, 2019 with committees in the afternoon and an agenda setting meeting a 5:00 p.m.

The personnel committee discussed resignations and re-appointments for the Hospital Service District #2 board, filling the unexpired term of Buck Ashworth on the Fire Protection Board and office security in light of recent events.

The Finance Committee discussed the Tourism Commission budget.

The Road and Bridge committee looked at the re-subdivision of 3 lots in River Oaks sub-division and raising the speed limit on a portion of Seth Cole Road.

The agenda setting meeting began at 5:00 p.m. with a prayer and the pledge followed by the award of a proclamation to Gyth Rigdon that recognized his accomplishments and his position as a role model to aspire local youth to dream, to set goals and to pursue their interests.

Also introduced were Herman Ray Hill, Candidate for Louisiana House of Representatives District #32 and Renee Hoffpaur Klann, candidate for Louisiana Senate District #30.

The above items were added and approved for the agenda. There will be committee meetings again next Tuesday and the regularly scheduled meeting to be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 11, 2019.
