2020 beauregard parish fair.jpg

Beauregard Parish Fair has announced changes to their usual format for this year's fair in October. The current situation as of June 2020:

  • The Beauregard Parish Fair Association will still have the poster contest on a local/parish level, however the winning posters will not go to state. (This is because we will not have a state convention in 2021.) They will be accommodating the winners on a local level.
  • The BPFA will still have the ESSAY contest on a local/parish level. There is no state convention in 2021 so the essays will also not go to state.) These winners will also be recognized on a local level.
  • Phase 3 of state recovery does not allow for school students to take field trips. This will impact Education Day. The Fair Association will follow this closely to see what changes can be made.
  • The Fair Association says they will continue to have Senior Citizens Day, but there will be changes for the Seniors' Safety! Please follow their facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/beaufair1928/ for updates.

The BPFA will continue to move forward with hopes of having a fair this year and are working to make it safe for everyone. The plan will be submitted to the State Fire marshals office for with hopes to move forward.
