The Beauregard Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness has posted that the National Weather Service is still monitoring a trough of low pressure, currently over the southeastern United States.

The National Hurricane Center does not expect any tropical development Monday or Tuesday, but by the middle to end of the week NHC gives this system a medium 60% chance for development into a tropical depression.

Right now all indications still show the northeastern Gulf of Mexico as the region to see this system, anywhere from southeast Louisiana to Florida.

The Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will keep you informed as new information is obtained.
