When you look at your ballot on October 12 (or before if you early vote) you'll see the entire list of candidates. And beneath them are 4 proposed amendments we are being asked to vote upon.
Amendment 1 will ask if you support prohibiting taxes on raw materials, goods, commodities, personal property, and other articles that are stored in public and private warehouses that are destined for the Outer Continental Shelf.
Amendment 2 asks to add three schools and pubic television to the Education Excellence Fund.
Amendment 3 would enhance the scope and power of the Board of Tax Appeals and allow the body to rule on whether taxation and fee matters are constitutional under Louisiana or U.S. law.
Amendment 4 is asking to allow New Orleans to create a residential property tax exemption that would promote affordable housing.
