May 28, 2020

John Michael Humphrey, age 34, of New Llano, was arrested following a traffic stop at Hwy 1211 & Hwy 171 in New Llano. Agents charged Humphrey with one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Methamphetamine) and one count of Stop lamps and turn signals required on new motor vehicles. Bond was set at $ 5635.00. Humphrey remains in the VPSO jail.

Shanna Martinez, age 43, of Anacoco, was arrested following a traffic stop at Hwy 171 and Stanton Street in New Llano. Agents charged Martinez with one count of Possession of Marijuana, one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Methamphetamine) and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $ 8122.00. Martinez remains in the VPSO jail.

James Alan Moore, age 36, of Anacoco, was arrested following a traffic stop on Hwy 171 in New Llano. Agents charged Moore with one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Methamphetamine) and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $ 6561.00. Moore remains in the VPSO jail.

May 27, 2020

Elizabeth Rose Sweet, age 39, of Anacoco, was arrested following a traffic stop on Hwy 111 West in the area of Twin Bridges Cafe. Agents charged Sweet with three counts of Illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presences of persons under seventeen years of age, one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Methamphetamine), and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond was set at $ 21,500.00. Sweet posted bond and was released.

Jason Patrick Kay, age 44, of Lake Charles, was arrested in the area of Holly Grove Road in Anacoco. Agents charged Kay with one count of Possession of Marijuana, one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Methamphetamine), and one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Bond has not been set and Kay remains in the VPSO jail.

Quinton Wade Haley, age 19, of Burr Ferry, was arrested following a traffic stop in the area of John Keel Road. Agents charged Haley with one count of Possession of Marijuana, one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, one count of Possession of a Legend Drug (Prescription required), one count of No Driver's License on Person, one count of Stop lamps and turn signals required on new motor vehicles, one count of Switched Plates, one count of No vehicle Insurance, and one count of Operation of a motor vehicle without a valid registration. Bond has not been set an Haley remains in the VPSO jail. The Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force has received several complaints of suspicious activity regarding the vehicle that was being operated by Haley.
