Joseph Leath James, age 50, of Leesville, was arrested by Agents with the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force following a traffic stop at Highway 171 and Red Town Road. Agents charged James with one count of Resisting an Officer and one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Methamphetamine). Bond has not been set and James remains in the VPSO jail.

Joyce Simmons, age 65, of Leesville, was arrested by Agents with the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force following a traffic stop in the area of Highway 171 and Beltz Road. Agents charged Simmons with one count of Possession of a Schedule II Narcotic (Methamphetamine). Bond has not been set and Simmons remains in the VPSO jail.

Lisa Welch, age 26, of Anacoco, was arrested by Agents with the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force following a traffic stop on the Lake Charles Highway. Agents charged Welch with one count of Stop lamps and turn signals required on new motor vehicles, one count of Possession of a schedule II narcotic (Methamphetamine), one count of Child passenger restraint system, one count of Drug paraphernalia, and one count of Possession of CDS in the presence of a minor (Child endangerment law). Bond has not been set and Welch remains in the VPSO jail.

Ida Lynette Mills, age 51, of DeRidder, was issued a citation by Agents with the Vernon Parish Narcotics Task Force after a traffic stop in the area of Highway 1211 and Birch Street in New Llano. Mills was cited for Possession of marijuana. Mills was issued a court date and must appear before a 30th JDC Judge in relation to the violation.

James Green McBrayer, age 37, of Cullman, Alabama, was charged with one count of Operating a vehicle while intoxicated second offense, Operating a vehicle while under suspension for certain prior offenses, and one count of Open container. Bond was set at $ 4429.00 and McBrayer remains in the VPSO jail.

February 22, 2021

Richard Kubena, age 57, of Florien, was arrested and charged with one count of Domestic Abuse Battery. Bond has not been set and Kubena remains in the VPSO jail.

Arcario Miller, age 40, of Leesville, was arrested on three outstanding Bench Warrants. Bond was set at $ 3500.00. Miller remains in the VPSO jail.
