SHREVEPORT, La. - The COVID-19 vaccine rollout continues across the ArkLaTex at a rapid pace. The vast majority of Americans are now eligible for the shots and that means vaccine clinics are easier to find.

LSU Health Shreveport continues its vaccine distribution at the Louisiana State Fairgrounds. You can get your shot Friday, April 16, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m at 3701 Hudson Dr. Vaccinations will also be available next Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at the same times.

Friday, April 16, from 12 p.m. until 5 p.m., vaccines will be available for some people at the old Chevyland dealership on Linwood Avenue. School staff, teachers, daycare workers and healthcare workers are all eligible. They can also get the vaccine Wednesday, Thursday and Friday of next week at the same times.

On Monday, April 19, hospital workers will be administering the Pfizer vaccine at Alpha Media, at 202 N. Thomas Street in Shreveport. The vaccinations will be available from 9 a.m. until 2:30 p.m.  

On Thursday, April 22, the Pfizer vaccine will be administering at The Office Hub, at 331 Milam Street in Shreveport. The vaccinations will be available from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The vaccine is available to anyone age 16 or older in Louisiana. You can schedule an appointment at either of these locations, through MyChart at my.ochsner.org/lsu or by calling (318) 626-0050. Walk-ins are welcomed at both locations. However, those appointments will be based on vaccine availability.

First and/or second doses of the COVID vaccination are now available for Tier 1A, 1B, 1C & Tier 2 groups on Barksdale Air Force Base. COVID vaccination appointments are now available to all Tricare beneficiaries age 18 or older. Vaccinations will take place at the “O” Club near North Gate on Friday and April 29. However, Tricare beneficiaries must first book their vaccine appointment at the following website: https://shotofhope2mdg.setmore.com. Walk-ins will not be accepted and will be turned away.

CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic (CTC)-Richmond Road I and CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic (CTC)-New Boston will host free COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics on Saturday, April 17, administering the Moderna vaccine. 

CTC - Richmond Road I is located at 3502 Richmond Road, Texarkana, TX, and CTCNew Boston is located at 910 James Bowie Drive, New Boston, TX.

The CHRISTUS Good Shepherd Health System hub at the Longview Convention Center 100 Grand Boulevard is offering appoints for the vaccine. To make an appointment call 877-335-5746.
