Lake Charles professional harpist Jane Clark will perform at “Christmas with the Curator” at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19 at the War Memorial Civic Center in DeRidder at 250 West 7th Street.

This event is free and will be the final event in the Beauregard Museum/City of DeRidder’s Fall Speaker Series, geared toward local retirees.

Clark will perform Christmas music. Enjoy Christmas cookies and the beautiful holiday decor at the historic former USO. The concert will last around an hour.

Clark has been playing harp since age 13. She holds a Bachelor of Music degree in Harp Performance from McNeese State. She began her degree at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah where she had an extensive amount of performing and orchestra experience. At BYU, she participated in the Philharmonic Orchestra, BYU Symphony Orchestra, and BYU Symphonic Band as well as many other solo and ensemble performances.

Clark relocated to Lake Charles in 2015. She has been awarded the Anita and Joe Tritico Performing Arts Scholarship and has performed as principal harpist with the Lake Charles Symphony and MSU Wind Symphony.
